We are delighted to present two brand new recordings by Temirkanov and the St Petersburg Philharmonic. First, a live performance of Shostakovich’s Symphony No 7 (“Leningrad”) from Victoria Hall on May 22 2008 which Radio de la Suisse Romande has kindly made available for this site; second, the first recording made on the Philharmonia’s own equipment, Verdi’s Requiem, performed in March 2009 in the Philharmonic Hall in St Petersburg with soloists Carmen Giannattasio, Veronica Simeoni, Alexander Timchenko and Carlo Colombara.
